Campaign Narratives, Election Denial, and Trump’s 2024 Election
摘要
This chapter examines how public narratives created by candidates and digital and cable news media following the 2020 election influenced campaign dynamics in 2024. The chapter explains how Donald Trump’s false claims about winning in 2020 helped him secure the nomination and simultaneously put Republicans at risk for squandering a favorable political climate where their 2024 electoral gains could have been larger.
