eHealth for the Treatment of Depression and Insomnia
摘要
Depression and insomnia are common, and frequently co-occurring, disorders. While effective treatments exist, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, many individuals are unable to access these treatments. eHealth treatments for depression and insomnia have a rapidly growing evidence base and are increasingly being used to expand access to these effective mental health services. Digital adaptations of cognitive behavioral therapy (dCBT) are now well studied and are being implemented in a wide range of settings. In this chapter, the evidence supporting the use of dCBT for depression and insomnia is reviewed. Adaptations and considerations for special populations, such as older adults and perinatal individuals, are discussed. Clinical implications, including how dCBT programs may be incorporated into existing service settings, are reviewed and recommendations are provided regarding how to offer these accessible interventions to individuals with a wide variety of concerns and barriers to care.
