Purpose This study aims to explore from the perspectives of professional employees in Oman Medical Board Specialty (OMSB) in the Sultanate of Oman—the extent to which the application of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Model (1) improves organization productivity and (2) increases patient care. Design/Methodology/Approach A Pragmatic philosophy underpins the research design. A mixed methods case study approach involving surveys administered to 44 employees at the case organization was used for data collection. Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis are used to analyze the quantitative data component. Thematic analysis is used to identify the frequency occurrence of words and phrases that reflect the participants’ perception toward implementing the Baldrige Performance Excellence Model. Findings suggest that Leadership and strategic alignment improve Organizational effectiveness and operational improvements. The results also reveal the significance of employee involvement in enhancing organizational results significantly. However, the sample is taken from one case study in a limited geographical area in Oman, which may jeopardize the generalizability of the findings. Originality/Value The study provides insights, via the quantitative findings and participants’ voices, into the effect of the Baldrige Performance Excellence organization on increasing the efficacy and patient care results within OMSB. The insights gained from this study are useful for healthcare organizations, administrators, and lawmakers.
