摘要

The exploratory study aimed to explain the factors (economic growth, labor laws, government support, and environmental sustainability) affecting the continuity of investment in the energy sector in the Sultanate of Oman. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach (quantitative and qualitative), using a questionnaire and an interview to collect data. The study sample was 414 employees and managers in energy sector companies in the Sultanate. The interview method was also used with some managers and decision-makers in these companies, with 22 interviews. The study found a statistically significant effect of economic growth, government support, and environmental sustainability on investment continuity. The study also found that labor laws did not affect investment continuity in the Sultanate of Oman. The study provides essential contributions to practitioners and decision-makers in Oman. The research guides identifying the most effective policies to enhance the investment environment, with particular attention to legal and regulatory incentives and barriers. The study recommended that decision-makers in the Sultanate and future researchers shed light on labor laws and find loopholes preventing investment continuity.
