Strengthening Corporate Governance in Omani Limited Liability Companies (LLCs): A Critical Step Toward National Sustainability
摘要
This paper examines the pressing need to strengthen corporate governance in Oman’s Limited Liability Companies (LLCs). LLCs are widely used in Oman because they offer flexibility that allows shareholders to create their own governance practices. While this flexibility helps avoid certain regulatory barriers, it also creates risks when governance standards are weak or absent. Without strong governance, LLCs struggle to maintain transparency, accountability, and proper oversight—all of which are key for sustainable growth and gaining investor trust. Strengthening these frameworks is essential for lasting success and contributing to the nation’s sustainability goals.
