Carbon transport and mobility solutions are reduced to be the major principle of climate change impact mitigation, urbanization, and sustainable development. Greenhouse gas reduction strategies and technologies in transportation, as a major source of world carbon emissions, have been addressed here. Through case studies and best practices, the chapter identifies the contribution of public transport systems, electric vehicles, cycling infrastructure, and multimodal transport modes to sustainable mobility. The chapter also discusses the contribution of policy frameworks, technological innovation, and community engagement to low-carbon transport transition. Finally, this chapter seeks to develop a vision of how low-carbon transport modes can propel emission reduction plans and improve urban livability and resilience.
