Artificial Intelligence (AI), and its subsets of Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL), as well as the capabilities they offer to organizations, are now available for use in a wide variety of industries, from healthcare and medicine to engineering, manufacturing, entertainment, advertising, and education [1–3]. In any work situation where rapid information and analytic processing is required, particularly of large, integrated data sets where pattern recognition and prediction may be needed, machines outpace their human counterparts’ capabilities by significant margins. Further, these approaches have evolved rapidly in recent years as capabilities advanced from complicated back-office analytics or operational software solutions, that were niche, typically focused on Predictive AI, to Large Language Models (LLMs). Models such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Microsoft’s Copilot, and Google’s Gemini that offer Generational Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) now available as productivity enhancement and content creation solutions to everyone in the workplace.
