In this paper, we consider the grounds for Degrowth to be an ethical imperative in today’s world. We then examine the various objections to Degrowth, and the counter-arguments to these oppositions. Finally, we tackle the biggest objection to Degrowth: that it is irresponsible utopian dreaming and that there is no realistic way to implement it in our society. So, this paper defends the need for degrowth to ensure the inclusive wellbeing of humanity as a whole. The authors plead for Degrowth, which can vouch for our sustainability. They hold that striving for sustainable Degrowth is the ethical imperative imposed on us by future generations.
