Gender Diversity and Corporate Social Responsibility in Selected Quoted Companies in Nigeria
摘要
When women are present in leadership, organizations do not just look different—they act differently, often prioritizing ethics, sustainability, and community welfare (Francoeur et al. 2019). It is fundamental to analyze the long-term sustainability of business enterprises. It goes without saying that there is a need to see beyond the traditional view of profit maximization and global economic impartation and to evaluate other extraneous yet crucial factors such as the people, the citizenry as a whole, the immediate community, and environment—which is why the ethical obligation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) comes to the fore. CSR is synonymously utilized to connote philanthropy or corporate charity and contributions to the populace. This is a positive business attitude that reflects and affects corporate integrity and reputation (Adedipe and Babalola 2014). It addresses business and the community in which companies flourish as one and it advances companies’ eminence and places organizations that are socially responsible as exceptional.
