Identifying Key Obstacles to Solving the Problem of Rehabilitating Belgrade’s Cultural Heritage
摘要
Over the last 200 years, Belgrade has been in a very turbulent and dynamic era, with a rich cultural heritage that reflects its historical development. Unfortunately, a large part of the cultural heritage has not survived multiple destructions throughout its history, especially in the twentieth century, during which Belgrade was destroyed and rebuilt several times due to war. The study analyses the current state of Belgrade’s rich and unique cultural heritage buildings and provides an overview of the most endangered sites. It also aims to identify the key obstacles to solving the problem of rehabilitating Belgrade’s cultural heritage, as well as to determine the extent to which climate change contributes to these obstacles. The results will indicate whether human factors, such as management, lack of adequate financial resources, or failure to comprehend the actual reality of climate change, pose a larger threat to Belgrade’s cultural heritage than climate change directly.
