The Second Time: “What a piece of worke is a man!”: Biocentrism, Gender, and Experimenting with The (un)Birth of Blackness in Shakespeare’s Plays looks across the temporal continuum and artistic canon of ShakespeareShakespeare, William and some of the dramatists he influenced to show how these playwrights presented distorted narratives of the basic biological function of procreation as it relates to Blackness to ungender Black flesh.
