This chapter discusses the transition from hierarchical security models to human-centric, adaptable frameworks that are capable of addressing sophisticated threats. User disengagement is promoted by an excessive reliance on compliance-based measures, which in turn induces employees to implement hazardous remedies. In the interim, the importance of cross-sector collaboration is emphasised by the escalating international cyber threats. Behavioural-based security acknowledges that risks are primarily caused by human behaviour. An adaptive security culture is fostered by prioritising education, leadership, and positive reinforcement, which ultimately fortifies organisational resilience, engages stakeholders, and facilitates risk mitigation.
