Reacquisition and Reinstatement of Problem Behavior: Knowns and Unknowns
摘要
This chapter focuses on how reacquisition and reinstatement of problem behavior occur in applied settings due to procedural fidelity errors. Reacquisition, typically caused by commission errors (e.g., accidental reinforcement of problem behavior), is examined in depth. The chapter reviews knowns and unknowns about these forms of relapse and discusses potential mitigation strategies. The authors call for greater attention to this area and propose a foundation for future research and practice.
