The Impact of Blockchain Technology on Supply Chain Management in the Construction Industry

The article analyzes the current state of supply chain management in the construction industry and identifies the main challenges faced by industry participants. Today, the construction industry in Ukraine has a number of interrelated problems, one of which is the lack of a systematic process for creating and exchanging digital information. COVID-19 and the war have further aggravated the situation, both in Ukraine and around the world, and led to disruptions in supply chain management, as the availability of materials has become a major obstacle. The scientific novelty of this article lies in the exploration of previously uncharted territory within the construction industry’s supply chain management. Specifically, it delves into innovative applications of blockchain technology that have not been extensively studied in this context. The article pioneers new approaches to assessing the impact of blockchain on the construction supply chain, offering fresh insights and methodologies for understanding the evolving dynamics in this field. By venturing into these unexplored avenues, the research aims to contribute novel perspectives and solutions to the broader domain of blockchain technology in the construction sector. The aim of this research is to study and analyze the potential applications of blockchain technology in the construction and supply chain management industry. The research is focused on examining practical uses of blockchain for optimizing construction processes, managing the supply of materials and resources, tracking digital identifiers, and enhancing collaboration with subcontractors.
