This chapter discusses the relationships between the nominalist nature of psychiatric diagnoses, as described by Paul Verhaeghe, and the modal logical context of psychotherapy. The nominalist view portrays psychodiagnosis as storytelling, rather than medical diagnostics, and offers various narrative and, by extension, metaphysical possibilities for the inculcation of logical modality in the conceptualization of psychotherapy, including the idea of changing modal worlds, or possible worlds, as key elements in Modal Integrative Psychotherapy.
