The Context for Wage Determination and Wage Bargains of the Pre-industrial World
摘要
It is hard to find a topic in economic history that has been as influential and enduring in the making of theory and debate on economic change as the history of wages. Any quick search one might make through articles published in the top economic history journals in the last 20 years will show a persistently high number of contributions that rely on the use or analysis of wages in specific geographic and productive contexts to make grand claims about emerging and diverging economic development.
