Wireless sensor network has so many advantages and is a fastest growing technology. As a result the application for wireless sensor network range has expanded until the present day. The main goal of this paper is to give readers an up-to-date presentation of wireless sensor network for both traditional and recent applications. This will also help readers to study and recognize applications in a better way. In order to accomplish this aim, the primary applications for wireless sensor network are identified and some examples for each application are discussed. Along with list of advantages and disadvantages the particular characteristics are described. For online telemedicine systems are beneficial because they make timely and effective health care service possible. The foundations of these systems are provided by advanced wireless and wearable sensor technologies. By the swift advancement of technology the reach of remote health monitoring systems has been significantly expanded. After discussion of characteristics, a few factors related to each one of these particular group are described. Finally, concluded with the remark.
