Analysing the Breast-Bra Interaction in Motion Using 4D Scan Data and BodyTex4D

The 4D scan data evaluation methods from Chap. 4 are extended and applied to dynamic analyses of breast-bra interaction. Two test subjects run on a treadmill at varying speeds while wearing different bras. BodyTex4D is used to conduct a motion analysis, which provides insight into the comparability of running movements. Additionally, an extended BodyTex4D method selects 3D images of the running movement that meet predefined comparability criteria, allowing for a detailed examination of breast deformations. This comparison makes it possible to assess the influence of bra design, materials and seams on breast deformation. Furthermore, a newly developed method for bra support classification is applied to both test subjects, demonstrating high usability and repeatability. Differences in bra support based on design, size and treadmill speed become clearly visible. Overall, the results confirm that 4D scan data and BodyTex4D are highly effective for analysing and evaluating clothing-body interactions.
