How to Plan (and Conduct) a Conference
摘要
Planning a conference requires considerable preparatory work in advance of the actual meeting. In addition to the educational tasks of selecting a subject, speaker, and format, there are multiple administrative procedures to complete ahead of the meeting. These include accrediting the program, developing a budget, negotiating contracts and completing paperwork, determining equipment needs, handling local site arrangements, and more. The COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated more widespread adoption of teleconferencing and its additional tasks. Most of this work, while invisible to attendees, is a crucial piece of the process.
