How to Collaborate Interprofessionally
摘要
Interprofessional collaborations can be integral for successful research and clinical care. Effective collaboration utilizes colleagues’ skills appropriately with clearly defined roles. Conversely, there are several common missteps that can prevent effective collaboration. Inadequate communication, poor utilization of services, undefined expectations, and maladroit clinical hand-offs can be both financially costly and medically dangerous. The aim of this chapter is to provide helpful advice on how to get the most out of interprofessional collaborations in the three domains of research, clinical care, and education.
