Utilizing the Potential of Technologies from the Fourth Industrial Revolution to Decrease Waste and Increase the Value of Byproducts in the Dairy Industry

An enormous change in agriculture and the food industry is being heralded by the increasing convergence of digital, physical, and biological disciplines in recent years. Cutting-edge technologies like smart sensors, artificial intelligence, robotics, big data, and block chain drive this transition. The Fourth Industrial Revolution, or Industry 4.0, is focused on these technological advancements and is now affecting some agricultural and food industries, such as the dairy industry. There’s growing evidence that utilizing Industry 4.0 technologies in the dairy industry could yield several advantages, including increased productivity, quality, and traceability; lower production costs and times; and, most crucially from an environmental perspective, less waste and byproducts. This succinct analysis will concentrate on the possibilities for utilizing Industry 4.0 technologies to lower waste and increase the value of byproducts in the dairy industry.
