MESS with Jayne Osgood and Sid Mohandas
摘要
This conversation is between two speakers from early years education: Jayne Osgood, Professor of Childhood Studies at Middlesex University, best known for her published works and impact on gender and early childhood education. She has over 75 publications that broadly address issues relating to early childhood, considering what is especially new and feminist about feminist new materialist approaches to research with young children. Sid Mohandas, completing a PhD under Jayne’s supervision, is a Montessori teacher researching how a gendered workforce is materialised, in which they put feminist new materialism’ and lesser known subaltern studies such as Dalit and Adivasi feminisms in conversation with posthumanist theories.
