The third part of the book turns to the art of nihilating the neoliberal self, which I am calling the ars nihil, via subversion, resistance, and relationality, which creates the possibility for collective meaning making, solidarity, and collective action. I develop my arguments for relationality and the art of nihilation, which includes solidarity and collective action, as modes of resistance to the neoliberal self and neonihilism. I begin by problematizing notions of a true self, freedom, and authenticity under neoliberalism and then unpack relationality from a critical perspective. I then argue for relationality and the art of nihilation as potential solutions to the problems of neonihilism in the neoliberal context and the meaning and mental health crises.
