The study of Waqf technology literature has gained significant traction in recent years, particularly in the context of integrating modern technological advancements such as blockchain and Fintech into traditional Waqf management system. This systematic literature review aims to analyze the trends, challenges, and future research directions that related to the study area. The review been covered a comprehensive analysis of relevant academic articles published between 2015 and 2024, that focusing on the application of technology in enhancing Waqf management, transparency, and efficiency factors. The main findings indicate an increasing interest in the potential of blockchain technology to address longstanding issues in Waqf administration, for example, the lack of transparency, inefficient fund management, and difficulties in tracking Waqf assets. Additionally, the review highlighted the part of Fintech in facilitating more effective fundraising mechanisms and improving donor engagement through digital platforms. Despite the capable developments, the literature reveals a few challenges, including regulatory hurdles, the need for digital literacy among Waqf managers, and integrating technology into existing frameworks. Therefore, future research should focus more on the empirical studies that can explore the impact of these technologies, especially those that relate to Waqf performance and sustainability management processes. Besides, there still need for the interdisciplinary approaches that combine insights from technology, finance, and Islamic law to develop comprehensive solutions for the Waqf perspectives. This paper will contribute to the address on the modernization of Waqf and set the stage for further exploration of advanced technological applications in this vital area of Islamic charity.
