The controversy surrounding the time of emergence around “Documentaries” has finally been resolved with the appearance of cinema in the late nineteenth century. Documentaries, whether television or film, both share the characteristics of their humanly accurate storytelling. Basing events on true sequences rather than images and thoughts woven by the writer and producer. The Lebanese Civil War, killed more than 150,000 people, displaced thousands from their homes and villages, and emigrated many others. Smashed towns and cities, starting with the Beirut central District, destroyed infrastructure and disrupted all of Lebanon’s regimes. This study has been analyzed with the usage of Narrative Methodology, over the documentary titled “Lest We Forget—Lebanese Civil War 1970–1995”. The sample is considered the same as the study population, which is represented by three episodes of the documentary. The Type of the sample is “purposive”. The main question of the analysis was, “What is the role of documentaries in shaping people’s thoughts and feelings towards the Lebanese war?”. Results showed the optimal use of the short live videos captivates viewers. Along with the proper utilization of sound effects, such as; voiceovers, war weapons, and explosives, symbolizing corruption. Furthermore, sounds of songs that express people’s joy reflecting their cheerful memories. Both of which balance out emotions in creating a very realistic visual for the audience. On the other hand, the correct chronology of events. Also the presentation of the most prominent personalities, whether political or social, who were effected or are affected by the Lebanese war. Results also mentioned the lack of neutrality, as it was promoted for one sect or political party over the others.
