Developing and examining logistics and information technology (IT) research trends have attracted much interest. This study uses a bibliometric approach to answer five major logistics and information technology research questions. It examines subjects, subject trends, important sources, highly cited papers, contributing keywords, and leading nations in logistics and information technology (IT). Methodologically, 159 Scopus-indexed publications from 1988 to 2023 were selected for bibliometric analysis. A detailed grasp of the terrain through VosViewer-based network studies was made possible by data collecting, which was reliant on Scopus’ extensive coverage. Numerous citations were noted in 2012 (951), indicating increasing interest and significance. The findings show interesting insights: a constant growth in publications related to information technology (IT) and logistics. The United States is a noteworthy leader in IT and logistics publications, with Australia, the United Kingdom, and Greece following closely. Popular topic areas include computer science, engineering, business, management, accounting, and the social and decision sciences. Important sources and papers were uncovered by the investigation, like Prajogo, and Olhager's (2012) “Supply Chain Integration and Performance: The Effects of Long-term Relationships, Information Technology and Sharing, and Logistics,” which received the most citations (842). This thorough examination sheds light on the international environment around information technology (IT) and logistics research, highlighting key contributions, partnerships, and the importance of different players in influencing the area.
