Ethnobotany of the Caucasus: The Region
摘要
The Caucasus region is one of the most beautiful, and botanically as well as ethnobotanically interesting regions of the globe, and has been steeped in mythology since biblical and Greek times. It is here where Noah supposedly landed on Mt. Ararat, and according to Greek mythology Prometheus was chained to a rock in what is nowadays the Republic Georgia. Jason and the Argonauts travelled to the Caucasus in search of the Golden Fleece.
