Digital Monitoring Systems Based on Artificial Intelligence for the Oil Industry
摘要
Petroleum storage facilities are crucial to the global energy supply chain, functioning as intermediaries that ensure the safe storage and efficient transfer of hydrocarbons between production and consumption. Despite their critical role, these facilities face persistent challenges such as equipment failures, operational inefficiencies, and increasing safety controls and regulatory demands. Traditional systems like Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), while effective for basic monitoring and specific tasks, lack the predictive and adaptive capabilities required for modern industrial demands. Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers a transformative approach to addressing these challenges. Through real-time analytics, data processing, machine learning, and predictive maintenance, AI enhances operational reliability, safety, and cost-efficiency. This study explores the integration of AI into petroleum storage operations, detailing its methodology, outcomes, and implications for industrial modernization.
