Drawing upon a comprehensive review of existing literature, this article examines the challenges faced by organizations aiming to leverage Big Data for recruitment purposes, emphasizing the importance of overcoming these challenges to ensure successful and effective implementation. Through our review, we identify several key determinants of successful Big Data investment in recruitment, including data quality, data analytics expertise, leadership commitment, cross-functional collaboration, technology accessibility, data-driven organizational culture, organizational adaptability and agility, and awareness and training initiatives. Building upon these determinants, we propose a conceptual research model elucidating the interconnectedness between these factors, the implementation of Big Data initiatives, and the attainment of competitive advantage in recruitment. This article contributes to the existing literature by providing a holistic framework for understanding the complexities and dynamics of integrating Big Data Analytics into recruitment practices, thereby facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning in organizational contexts.
