Development of an Earth Open Portal for Remote Sensing Data Processing for Sustainable Environmental Applications
摘要
Morocco has emerged as one of the most industrialized countries in Africa. This revolution is significantly beneficial for our development. Nevertheless, industrial activities impact the environment, particularly involving climate change and increased natural environmental hazards. This project aims to design and develop a big data platform for the automatic acquisition, ingestion, processing, analysis, and visualization of vast volumes of remote sensing data from multiple sources, including satellite data, ground sensors, websites, and drones. The platform will operate near-real-time datasets such as temperature, precipitation, humidity, wind speed, and snow cover. Satellite data, classified as big data, necessitates the development of new big data, cloud computing, and high-performance computing platforms to enhance processing efficiency. We also intend to apply artificial intelligence algorithms to improve the accuracy of satellite data and create a platform for prediction and monitoring, aiding decision-makers. Additionally, we plan to utilize processed RS data for drought monitoring, detecting climate-induced changes and natural disasters, and supervising snow and ice in Africa. This innovative approach will enable efficient, scalable, and rapid satellite data processing within a big, creative data and cloud architecture, ensuring capabilities.
