Commonly, the metaverse is a scalable network that interconnects multiple virtual worlds. A virtual universe where users interact with different devices, systems and other users. This interaction techniques are based on multiple advanced technologies such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR) or sensors. Nowadays, the metaverse is gaining momentum. This is explained by the evolution of new technologies, but also by the global health crisis linked to Covid-19. Indeed, successive restrictions have led to an explosion of online gaming, with people in dire need of outside contact. Using augmented reality technology to overload the virtual world on real life, the metaverse could be a game-changer in many areas. Education, including training, will be the second area that will be most impacted by the metaverse, behind ecommerce. Currently statistics have indicated that students would learn 4 times faster in the metaverse and are 3 times more confident in acquiring their skills. Also, the added value of the metaverse in education consists in offering participants immersive learning experiences allowing them to experiment with new training situations, such as for training in high-risk professions. The interest in the field of health is obvious; it allows students to practice technical gestures without taking any risk on a real patient. Augmented reality and virtual reality will allow students to analyze the human body in every corner by complementing traditional methods. All this with a hologram that definitely accompanies the course books. This new mode will be reachable even for students who cannot afford to access resources in health institutions that are not accessible to everyone. Given its advantages, today, several efforts made in studies and research projects to conduct appropriate health promotion programs that are practical in the metaverse.
