Applications of Statics in the Real World
摘要
Empirical knowledge of statics has been mastered since the beginning of history when the first constructions appeared, which required the transport and handling of weights. Without having a unitary vision and a theory on statics, various civilizations in different eras had achievements that required the technical knowledge of simple machines such as the lever, the pulley, the wedge, the inclined plane, the screw. With a few empirical notions well mastered through experience, impressive constructions were made in antiquity.
