Schedule
摘要
In examining project scheduling in infrastructure development, the Saint Jude Hospital Reconstruction Project in Saint Lucia is presented as a compelling case study. The chapter provides a comprehensive analysis of various project delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design- Build, and Construction Manager/General Contractor, evaluating their impact on project duration, schedule growth, and the timing of cost certainty. The research demonstrates that alternative project delivery methods offer significant advantages in shortening project durations and establishing earlier cost certainty compared to traditional approaches. These findings have important implications for developing countries facing infrastructure challenges and limited public funds, offering insights into more efficient project management/implementation strategies and optimal resource allocation rooted in good governance.
