Shifting the focus to the transformative influence of blockchain and cryptocurrencies on finance, this chapter delves into the core principles of blockchain technology and provides an in-depth analysis of the economics surrounding digital currencies. The findings of the study have been arrived at by utilizing both primary and secondary data. The primary data has been collected from 384 respondents and found that there is a significant difference between demographic variables and impact. Further, the study reveals that transaction efficiency and stability, adoption barriers, security and resource management, knowledge and compliance gaps, and regulatory challenges are the challenges faced by investors. The study extends by exploring the moderate impact of the requirement demanded by investors for digital currencies and Bitcoin. The study concludes by providing suggestions to the stakeholders with respect to an awareness program, incentive option, and regulatory framework.
