The study addresses a critical gap in existing research, which often emphasizes the technical aspects of AI while neglecting its broader psychological and ethical impacts. Through a case study involving ChatGPT sessions with professionals, this research examines how AI affects cognitive development and ethical reasoning. By Employing thematic analysis, this study identifies both the benefits of AI in enhancing learning outcomes and the challenges it presents, particularly regarding over-reliance and ethical decision-making. Key findings reveal AI’s potential to bolster problem-solving abilities and highlight concerns regarding its impact on ethical reasoning. The results underscore the urgent need for ethical frameworks in AI integration and suggest directions for future research, including longitudinal studies on AI’s long-term effects on cognition and ethical behavior.
