The real-life case of the European Project and University Alliance “Beyond UNIVERSEH” is illustrated with the challenge to make alive mutual research collaboration among universities across Europe. UNIVERSEH is the European research project for a European Space University for Earth and Humanity with an alliance of initially 5, now 7 academic partners. UNIVERSEH has an embedded project “Beyond UNIVERSEH” that was launched to constitute and foster the research cornerstone and prepare virtual “single labs” for the European university alliance. To make the European Space University for Earth and Humanity alive, we need researchers who are willing to contribute and benefit from a shared research space and to co-develop and deploy interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary re-search projects for Space. This paper offers suggestions and experience on how to foster research collaboration among the various platforms, equipment and research laboratories associated with Space-related research.

摘要
