The objective of the Colony 1 mission was to establish the inaugural simulation programme for the colonisation of the lunar and Martian environments. This study serves as a test bed for technologies, scientific research, and human factors studies that are essential for short-and long-duration space missions as colonies, as well as for larger populations than those that have been previously analysed in analogue and space conditions. The document outlines the technical and scientific parameters of the project, the spectrum of collected data, and the operational protocols that have been developed to ensure the project’s success and alignment with the goals of the space agencies’ strategies.

摘要

The objective of the Colony 1 mission was to establish the inaugural simulation programme for the colonisation of the lunar and Martian environments. This study serves as a test bed for technologies, scientific research, and human factors studies that are essential for short-and long-duration space missions as colonies, as well as for larger populations than those that have been previously analysed in analogue and space conditions. The document outlines the technical and scientific parameters of the project, the spectrum of collected data, and the operational protocols that have been developed to ensure the project’s success and alignment with the goals of the space agencies’ strategies.
