Electrostatic spray coating is the main method used for automobiles and aircraft, but the large amount of paint disposal due to low paint coverage has become an issue. The disposal of paint not only increases the cost of coating, but also causes environmental problems due to the increased energy consumption during disposal. On the other hand, inkjet printing can achieve high paint coverage because images are formed with a small amount of droplets. This study focuses on droplet behavior and line formation after droplet impact in the case of vehicle paint application using inkjet technology. We evaluated the suitability of polyol, the main component of vehicle paint, for inkjet printing, and succeeded in visually mapping the conditions suitable for painting.

摘要
