Innovation in the Monitoring and Control of Cultural Heritage: An Integrated BIM-GIS Approach
摘要
The preservation of cultural heritage is essential for safeguarding the history and culture of a community. To ensure the protection and monitoring of the conditions of historic buildings, various techniques are available, such as historical BIM, augmented reality (AR) applications, and 3D surveys. In this field, the integration of BIM and GIS information is becoming increasingly important, along with the growing use of digital representations of the territory and cultural heritage. The goal of this research is to create the basis to develop a Digital Twin of a historic site, adopting a BIM-GIS integration approach in the small and charming village of Precacore, located in Samo (RC). We used the commercial software us.bim.geotwin by ACCA Software and made the model accessible through the CesiumJS platform. Starting from photogrammetric survey conducted with drones and the creation of a 3D model, in fact, we integrated BIM and GIS information through us.bim.geotwin and with a view to creating an updatable and open source Digital Twin, we opted for another effective tool, CesiumJS. The results obtained from the software demonstrate promising potential for the effective creation of this new technology of the territory and in particular of the cultural heritage.
