Environment Security Issues have been emphasized and adopted as national policies in many countries. However, the concept of management of environment security (MES) has not yet been clarified either in research papers or in policies so that it could help stakeholders, players, and managers increase their awareness and boost their actions in protecting environment security in their respective countries and the world. This paper reviews concepts of environmental security, introduces basic concepts of MES as well, and provides some current practices of MES for problems of environmental security in Hanoi, Vietnam from 2010–2020. Based on the approach of Management of Nontraditional Security (MNS), the basic equation of MES is introduced and applied to analyze some environmental insecurity cases in Hanoi, Vietnam. This article also provides a new approach or pathway that plays a key role in enhancing the MES for national sustainable development goals.

摘要
