A great deal of information is available in published and online environments about how to develop a learning city, but few focus on how to ensure that, once set up, a learning city survives and is sustainable in its ongoing quest to prioritise the transformative power of learning. This chapter takes an analytical look behind the scenes of Cork Learning City (CLC) to examine the various elements that have been needed to develop CLC over its journey of more than 20 years.
