Six Sigma is a method that provides tools for improving processes, products, and services with the goal of highest-level customer satisfaction. It was developed in the manufacturing industry, but it is widely applicable to any business processes, products, or services. The term business herein refers to any type of managed operation, whether for profit or not, public or private, partnership, corporation, or individual. Six Sigma is a method for waste examination of the business that detracts from its mission to serve its customers in the best possible ways. In this section we will cover the Kaizen event approachto Cybersecurity and the adoption of Six Sigma's DMAIC approach to cybersecurity applications. We will define the notion ofpossible wastes in cybersecurity and how they can be utilized in applications.
