Regenerative agriculture (RA) offers a transformative approach to farming, addressing critical global challenges such as environmental degradation, soil health, and the overuse of chemical inputs. Unlike conventional agricultural practices, RA emphasizes the restoration of soil ecosystems, biodiversity, and the minimization of synthetic chemicals. This chapter explores the role of RA in effective weed management, contrasting it with traditional methods that rely heavily on herbicides and intensive tillage. By integrating techniques such as cover cropping, crop rotation, agroforestry, and rotational grazing, RA fosters soil health and ecological balance while reducing weed competition through holistic and nature-based solutions. Despite the promising potential of RA for sustainable weed control, challenges remain, particularly in the transition to herbicide-free systems. This chapter outlines both the opportunities and challenges in managing weeds within RA systems, emphasizing the need for innovative strategies that acknowledge the complex interplay among soil health, biodiversity, and weed dynamics.
