Reduction Specific Absorbing Rate on Human Brain for Rectangular Slot Patch Antenna in C Band

These days, the utilization of Rectangular Patch Antennas (RPA) is widespread in wireless communication systems. The major source of electromagnetic radiation has come from wireless devices, which penetrate human tissues and cause health danger. This paper exam Rectangular Patch Antenna (RPA) and Rectangular Slot Patch Antenna (RSPA) that were designed, evaluated, and simulated, at c-band application using CST Microwave Studio 2020. The RSPA is a modified version of RPA via cutting the rectangular slot of the patch layer. The two antennas are designed with a copper material for ground and patch layers (thickness is 0.035 mm) whereas a FR-4 epoxy material for the substrate layer, (thickness is 1.5 mm). The study was examined and evaluated based on SAR to determine the humans’ exposure to communication antenna radiation and its value was computed over 10 gm and 1 gm mass of tissues corresponding to (ICNIRP) and the IEEE standards for head safeness. The results revealed that the RSPA antenna produces the minimum SAR levels in head tissues of adult. The levels of SAR in the same tissues are recorded as high values for 10g compared to others.
