GeoGebra-An Experimental Tool for Factoring Polynomials
摘要
Factoring a polynomial problem is: Transforming the polynomial into a product lower order polynomials. Every one-variable polynomial on a field of real numbers can be decomposed as a product of first-order and second-order polynomials. There are many algebraic methods to factoring polynomials (group of terms, set to common factor, add/subtract, …). However, in the face of difficult problems (as the problems in the math competitions), sometimes students cannot know which method to use to factoring polynomials into factors. The purpose of this report is to show that the math software GeoGebra can be used as a useful tool to solving problems of factoring polynomials in the math competitions at regional and national levels.
