Eco-Friendly Fabrication of Nanoparticles (NP) Particles and Fibrils Using Polymer Blends as Templates

A sustainable and adaptable method for producing high-performance nanomaterials is the environmentally friendly production of NP particles and fibrils utilizing polymer blends as templates. This technique allows for exact control over the shape and functionality of nanostructures by taking advantage of the phase separation, compatibility, and selective removal characteristics of polymer blends. This approach’s scalability and versatility are increased by methods including solvent evaporation, electrospinning, and template-assisted synthesis, which enable the creation of nanostructures with a variety of uses in energy storage, biomedicine, environmental remediation, and agriculture. Sustainable development goals are supported, and the worldwide problem of plastic waste is addressed by minimizing environmental impact through the use of biodegradable polymers, renewable resources, and green solvents. This approach reduces waste production and encourages resource efficiency, which is consistent with the ideas of the circular economy. Despite obstacles like as maximizing polymer compatibility, customizing degradation profiles, and guaranteeing industrial scalability, developments in green chemistry and material science are improving and extending the possibilities of polymer blend templating.
