The multislice theory of elastic-scattering theory was outlined in Chap. 3. The unique advantage of this theory is its convenience of including defects in computations. The equivalent method has been applied to calculate the scattering of inelastic electrons in crystals. In this chapter, we first illustrate the multislice solution of Yoshioka’s equations. Then we discuss the applications of the theory for calculating the images of high-angle phonon-scattered electrons in STEM and TEM.

摘要

The multislice theory of elastic-scattering theory was outlined in Chap. 3. The unique advantage of this theory is its convenience of including defects in computations. The equivalent method has been applied to calculate the scattering of inelastic electrons in crystals. In this chapter, we first illustrate the multislice solution of Yoshioka’s equations. Then we discuss the applications of the theory for calculating the images of high-angle phonon-scattered electrons in STEM and TEM.
