Literary journalism, or investigative reporting presented with literary techniques, has always been associated with the unearthing of societal problems not usually given media coverage. In 2019 the German-based Literarisches Colloquium Berlin launched an online-only alternative news portal, LCB-Diplomatique, where reporters from around the world could publish on issues related to their corner of the globe. The aim was to bring forth, to an international forum, news below the media radar regarding aspects of everyday life. Such issues, ranging from political, environmental, economic, to infrastructural concerns affecting citizens’ life and well-being, can be categorized within the scope of global public goods. By bringing the focus on global public goods as apprehended by the literary journalism published by LCB-Diplomatique, this chapter analyses how, in this instance, literary journalism plays a role of activism in creating awareness to the imbalances, at citizen level, that confront access to and distribution of global public goods.

摘要
