There has been little consensus on a clear definition and scope of ecology. In this chapter, I will present a short historical overview of the subject since the name of this science was coined. Following this, I will share my personal definition of ecology and my view about its scope.

摘要

There has been little consensus on a clear definition and scope of ecology. In this chapter, I will present a short historical overview of the subject since the name of this science was coined. Following this, I will share my personal definition of ecology and my view about its scope.
