摘要
This study examines the impact of medical staff responsiveness on patient satisfaction, while considering the mediating role of patient perceived value on this impact in the context of public emergency departments of private hospitals in Jordan. A conceptual research model comprising the interrelationships among the research variables was developed based on a thorough analysis of the extent literature. A questionnaire survey was administered conveniently among emergency department patients of private hospitals in Jordan, resulting in a dataset of 215 valid responses, were considered for data analysis. Smart Partial Least Squares was employed to analyze the data and test the proposed hypotheses. The findings revealed a significant positive impact for medical staff responsiveness on both patient satisfaction and perceived value. The latter was also found to positively affect patient satisfaction and to mediate the relationship between medical staff responsiveness and patient satisfaction, suggesting that medical staff responsiveness significantly contributes to higher patient satisfaction directly and indirectly via the perceived value. This study enhances the understanding of how the responsiveness of medical personnel can be leveraged to increase the perceived value and satisfaction of patients, offering actionable insights for healthcare management to improve patient care outcomes. The research also highlights the importance of perceived value as a strategic focal point for healthcare service quality improvement initiatives.
